Preparing for Your Pet's Visit

Verifying Vaccination Records:

We understand that getting ready for any trip away from home can be stressful. That's why at Waldorf Kennels we want to make the process of boarding your pet as convenient as possible. The only requirement for your pet to stay is that he be current on all of his vaccinations. (Please note this is not a service we provide.)

Dogs:

  • DHLPP or DHPP

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

  • Rabies

  • K9 Flu vaccine is recommended

*All dogs must be current on flea/tick medication (any dog who is found with a flea infestation will be charged for a de-flea bath and capstar).

*All dogs must be current on their fecal exam and or de-worming

*It is recommended that your pet be on a heartworm preventative but it is not required.

We have found that providing your pets vaccination information, prior to your drop off date makes everything much easier when you bring your pet in for their stay.

Cats:

  • FVRCP

  • Rabies

Keeping Your Pet Content:

Belongings

Reminders of home often help your pet adjust comfortably to his stay at any boarding kennel. Please feel free to bring any belongings from home that will make him comfortable during his stay.

Medications

We're happy to administer your pet's medication per your instruction. Please clearly mark the amount to be given and how often it is to be administered and we'll take care of it in your absence. Please note that there is a $5-$10 a day charge for this service depending on the number of medications, how often they are given, and your pets willingness to take their medications.

Special Diets

A balanced diet is key to staying healthy and dogs and cats are no exception. You are welcome to bring your pet's food from home  and we will be more than willing to accommodate.
